peggylapoint Onion Bag Giveaway!

This week's Giveaway comes to us from Etsy Shop peggylapoint!
You have the chance to win this Up-Cycled Onion Tote Bag!

Let's get to know Peggy, the mastermind behind peggylapoint....

One of Peggy's famous recycled onion bags!

Peggy is a very active woman! She's a wife and mother of two young boys originally from Wisconsin, but now hailing from Portland, Oregon. Peggy loves Portland because of all of the crafty/artsy/creative types that surround her. She works part time at an office job and creates sustainable items that reflect her sustainable lifestyle. Many of her materials are found at reuse stores like Scrap. (Click here to visit Scrap on-line) Peggy also loves to bike, garden, and spend time with friends and family.

What a darling coffee cozy!

Sewing found Peggy - 8 years ago her husband surprised her with a sewing machine that she didn't use until about 3 years ago. Frustration with her job found Peggy looking for a creative outlet which caused her to dig out the sewing machine. Her skills were rusty - but - with a little experimenting she refined her skills. Peggy's confidence and skills have are growing as she practices and tries new projects.

What a great recycled feed tote with flower lining!

Peggy loves making her onion bag totes. She loves turning other people's garbage into useful and practical items. Peggy has a love of tote bags and thinks one can never have enough. The onion bags truly have works of art hidden on them and Peggy gives them a second life.

This tote is made from upholstery sample fabric!

Peggy hates throwing things away and saves well constructed items that might otherwise go into the trash in hopes of giving them a second life. All of her ideas for these objects are floating in her creative mind - she loves the challenge of finding an objects second use!

Love this Frank-O tote!

Like many of us, Peggy finds that there is not enough time in the day to craft. She would love to knit and finds the idea of obscure crafts to be quite exciting. Click here to see Peggy's most recent favorite NYC artist who uses found pennies to create art. She would also love to learn to draw or paint.

Love this yoga bag - so handy with pockets and everything!

  39. I'm following your blog, and what I'd love to see peggy do more of are the coffee cozies - I first saw this sort of thing at Caribou Coffee, and I love the idea of keeping a couple in my purse. Her homemade ones - esp. if they're upcycled - are much better than the ones I saw.

I hearted her etsy as a favorite, and the item I hearted was the teal handbag, because it is so pretty. (username: lfeb)
