The mastermind behind this great Etsy shop is Maria! Maria is a wife and stay at home mom and two children, a son, 4, and a daughter, 7. Not only does she have an Etsy shop full of beautiful handcrafted jewelry - she also home schools her daughter! The family has a puppy, Swayze, and a cat, Monster. Together they enjoy being outdoors, nature walks, picnics, and camping are some of their favorite activities.

Maria began making jewelry as a hobby shortly after my son was born. Being home with her kids allowed her to discover that she was in need of a creative outlet. Maria's love of jewelry helped her discover her craft.

"I've always been artistic though. In high school, I loved to write poetry and paint. In my twenties, I was into sewing, crafting and scrap booking. We have an artist friend who had done craft shows for years and had a website going and he pushed me to get started selling my stuff. He even designed my website for me."

Currently Maria is very into creating fine silver chains, necklaces, and bracelets. "When I pull a shiny finished chain out of my tumbler, I feel great satisfaction that I've created something really beautiful and timeless."

Maria finds her inspiration everywhere: saving leaves and flowers, pictures from magazines and catalogues, she also keeps a drawing journal.


Being a craft show veteran Maria has great advice to share: "Stick to the "Less is More" philosophy. Take only the displays you need so your setup is quick and easy. Keep your booth clean and neat so that your craft stands out."

As far as her children getting into art and creativity... "My children are surrounded by art. My husband is a talented drawer and painter, my Father turns wooden bowls and spoons, my Mother crochets and my Grandmother sews, crochets, knits and loves all crafts. My daughter loves to do "arts and crafts" and my son is very interested in my jewelry workshop. I think one day he'll have a bench next to mine."
