Wednesday Wednesday!

I think that there is no choice for you right now, but to click on the photo above and be very jealous of what is currently going on outside my bedroom window....

Did you look? Of course you did, and yes, they are reenacting medieval battles. And I know what you're thinking... Yes, they do sing songs and try to speak with Old English accents. I have decided that my favorite one is the guy in the center without a shirt, he seems to be the most into the battles. I like him because he look like one of those creatures from the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. My most favorite part of this gathering outside my window is when someone yelled "HEY DAD!" A father was walking from his car to one of these men/boys and brought him what looked like a water bottle... They he continued to beat other men/boys with his mallet....

I can't even make up stuff that good....

I would like to take this time to introduce you all to Bart ^^^^ Bart and I were brought together on Monday evening when I was at Meijer grocery shopping. I had to pull into the fish aisle to avoid being run over by someone, (who would have thought it would be crowded at 9 pm?) and I saw Bart. Sitting at the bottom of his dish looking very forlorn. I had to bring him home with me. He has improved a lot, his color is brighter and he swims around his bowl whenever I walk in the room! John says that he was pathetic when I first got him, but also agrees that he has improved by leaps and bounds!

This is a picture from Ohio, it was taken in the courtyard of the extended stay hotel that John's sister Bethany is staying at. The housing was provided by her school... I think it's funny because she seems to be one of the few people under 70 to be living there. They have breakfast every morning and a puzzle table... :) In the photo we are all eating strawberry shortcake to celebrate John's Dad's Birthday. (I am taking the picture!)

Another great shot of the garden area... you can see the strawberry shortcake in the corner. Yum!

John, Laura (the birthday girl), and myself! Laura just left yesterday for a mission trip in India! She will be gone for 2 weeks. I am super excited for her to get back, I want to hear all about the trip!

I have been expirementing with taking pictures for Etsy... Here is my listing from today, please let me know what you think!

Today in my computer class, as she was teaching us how to do a basic calculation in Excel, I wispered to the girl next to me, "I got up at 6:30 for this?" Shortly after this I was asked by the prof in front of the class if I would like to be a T.A. for the class in the fall. You could have knocked me over with a feather...

The fight outside is getting pretty intense! They are yelling and I can hear them making contact with the foam weapons! Off to watch some battling...

Hope you're having a great day!

  3. Hi, thanks for your comment on my blog. Tips for your studies- my bigest tip would be to experiment as far and wide as possible. Use every available machine, materials, technicians etc and just push yourself. that is my biggest regret. I got so stuck in my ways hand drawing patterns and printing them digitally that I didn't push myself as far. Now, after graduating, I find I explore even more, because I need to.
    Good luck with it all.

  4. Looking out your window I woudn't get a thing accomplished...I'd be lost in visions of noble knights and days of true chivalry. Hmmm...suddenly I want to dust of my copy of Beowulf...lol.
