azuredandelion is a great little Etsy shop run by the Rain family. They are artists full time who love to use recycled and reclaimed items to create art with a country feel. The Rain's find joy in giving new life to tired objects. The family loves to garden and to created items to display in gardens. Along with their great creations you can also buy their heirloom seeds on Etsy! They also offer their fresh produce and seeds at local farmer's markets.

Necessity and growing up on a working farm is what got this creative family into gardening. They always try to grow as much of their own food as they can. Plus, gardening gives them a chance to be outside and witness the changes of the plants. We all know that nothing beats homegrown produce!

Some tips for those of us who don't have such green thumbs...
*The internet is a great place to find information - remember - it's both good and bad!
* Local extension offices provide information about what works well in a certain area.
* We are big believers that you can grow almost anything anywhere with a little creativity:
-If you live where the summers are scorching hot, plant in shaded areas or provide shade using shade cloths.
- If you live in a cold area of the country and wish to grow a veggie considered tender, plant in a sheltered area such as along a fence or building. Or plant in containers so that you can bring them inside when needed.

The Rain's are inspired by most anything, nature, music, and life. The family enjoys using salvaged items and they often have brainstorming sessions to come up with ideas. After all 9 heads is always better than 1!

This sign would be a great addition to any summer getaway!

This family loves to be outside during the summer. They hike on trails around their property, pick berries, hang around the pond, and just be in nature. Family picnics are a wonderful spur of the moment summer treat!
