NBS {re}ocon

On Wednesday my friend Christie and I attended [re]ocon hosted by NBS in their showroom in Troy, Michigan. [re]ocon is a small Michigan version of the large Interior Design Trade Show - Neocon, which is held in Chicago at the Merchandise Mart each year. [re]ocon was created to help those designers hit hard by the economy who couldn't venture to Chicago.

I just love the flyer for the event - Great color scheme!

It was so much fun to be a student net worker for this event. We spent the day exploring new products, snacking on yummy food, and mingling with all kinds of people within Michigan's Interior Design Industry.

Here we are learning about the Media Scape Table from Steelcase.

It was a very educational day --- Seeing so many new products first hand was pretty neat! Everyone was very eager to share information about their new designs, we have some pretty great advances coming out of the field!

This writeUp wall from Designtex is such a neat idea - so much fun to write on to!

The Node Chair from Steelcase is quite possibly the most comfortable chair made for students ever! As you can see, Christie and I fit in them comfortably and so does Alex - who is 6'7"!!

Isn't that the truth...

Overall [re]ocon was a fun way to spend the day. There are so many great things going on in the industry right now. This day full of products, speakers, and networking was a great reinforcement of the fact that I am so excited to become a practicing Interior Designer!
