Moving Back Home Day

Hope you all had a great long weekend for the 4th of July - I've been MIA again because last week my Stunning Momma helped me pack up my life once again. We worked for a couple of days packing things into totes and computer paper boxes, we worked in extreme heat and rain, yet there were a few times when the weather and the breezes were perfect for packing. After just under 4 years of living on my own I have officially moved back in with my stunning parents for the last couple of months before the wedding!

This is pretty much what we started with - I hate packing so I waited until my highly motivated momma came to help!

We walked to get a coffee and take a break and were caught in the rain (and by rain I mean down pour)- Miss Mocha was not happy she is looking pretty much like a drowned rat - although she is 10 million times cuter than we were at this very same moment... :D

We have made a bit of progress at this point - you can see my Stunning momma taking a break in the background - this is shortly before we ordered a whole boat load of Chinese food to keep us fueled and on the move!

Mocha was able to find a clear place on the floor to eat - although we won't try and count the number of times we tripped over her or her water bowl!

Making some progress - boxes everywhere!

Sometimes near the end we all needed to improvise for places to sit and rest or take breaks!

It's very sad to see this place empty - but Hunky and I are moving on to bigger things in the Windy City. I'll be spending my summer working retail, wedding planning, and playing with what we have now termed a pack of wiener dogs!

  1. moving sucks..packing and unpacking is even worse! But at least you got it done. And you don't really have to unpack it all until after the wedding :)

  2. You have been a busy girl! I know how hard it is to pack up the bachelorette pad because I did it myself a few years back. I was 47 though at the time. But like you, I moved on to bigger and better things, or "person." I'm close to the Windy City myself and I think it's a great place to be!

Enjoy your new life! The best of luck to you.
