Obama Day!

Happy Inauguration Day to All!!

How cool it is to watch all the coverage on TV! I wish I was there,,, but I am living vicariously through my sister who is in D.C. at this very moment!

Currently I am watching a station that has a camera fixed on a car that the Obama's are getting in for church. Wait, they just got in. How cool is this day!? What a big step for our country and society. I hope that the President elect is met with great respect by our nation and the world.

Today I listed some new bobby pins, click on the photos, which is a link and help me get some views please!

It's a Blizzard!

We are getting MORE SNOW! Booo!! I think there has been enough already... We've had over 20 inches in the month of December and we are expecting 8 MORE over night... ENOUGH ALREADY!

Went to a very interesting party for a company that my father does business for. Food was good, company was awkward... But, I did get a job offer! I always love to tell people that I meet that I am an Interior Design and Fashion Major. This time it paid off! A woman wants me to come and help her paint leaves on a canvas rug that she has created to put in her dining room. I am a bit nervous, as I am taking 2 drawing classes over this summer, I told her it would be wise to wait until then... She insisted that I start next week! I am very nervous and excited!

I watched my cousin Adrienne today for most of the day. She is a few years older than me, autistic, and unable to communicate verbally. My Aunt and Uncle always take Adrienne and a huge Christmas dinner to a local group home, where she can socialize with people who have similar disabilities. (I also think it is to introduce her to this atmosphere, as some day they will not be able to give her 24 hour care.) We spent the afternoon at Sam's Club buying ingredients in bulk for the dinner. It was fun, although it snowed about 4 inches while we were gone and the roads on the way back were terrible. At one point I was convinced we were at a stop light, turns out we were waiting for an accident to be cleared off the road... :S

Received the very tacky phone cover I ordered off eBay today. It was $1 and draws a lot of attention with I answer my phone... It is purple with lime green frogs and pac man like shapes... Photos to be posted later.

Off to bed and onto a day of Holiday baking! Yay!

Good Night!
