Graduation Day!

To walk across the stage and accept our diplomas Hunky and I wore these fabulous gowns each made from 8 recycled plastic bottles. Our school is really running with their whole "Go Green!" thing...

Here we are trying to figure out how to put Hunky's hood on. I was convinced you were to see the bright colors - he knew that the brown, which is called "drab" (how terrible!) was to be on the outside.

This is the photo of all of the MSU Alums! My dad, Hunky, and Hunky's dad - the next day it would be me too!

I'm so blessed to have such a supportive group of people in my life - I simply love my family. So happy to have just graduated with 1 degree - notice the yellow tassel still waiting to be flipped!

With my grandmother and little sis - these ladies were such troopers! My family stuck it out and attended a graduation at 11 am then one at 7:30 pm - it was great to spend the whole day celebrating!

My fabulous mom, sister, and me!

Pointing at Dad's empty pockets... :D

We stopped by the Campus Museum to show those who weren't able to attend the opening, my gown Swatches, in the re:Dress Exhibit!

Most of the group in front of Beaumont Tower - such a pretty area on campus!

My Interior Design Academic Adviser and my best friend helped me get through the program while maintaining my sanity!

All the girls who came to the Interior Design Banquet - one of the professors bought us hot pink construction hats!

A group of us getting ready for the 7:30 graduation.

I did it! So happy to have finally completed my time at MSU!

My cousin Beth also graduated at my 7:30 ceremony - here's a picture of some fabulous sisters!

So happy to be DONE - I certainly worked my buns off while I was here! Now - does anyone want to hire an interior designer or fashion designer in the Chicago area..?

Busy Busy Weekend!

Hello all!

I'm sorry to have been away for a while! There seems to have been some problems here on Blogger, plus, it was an insanely busy weekend around here!

My sister graduated from high school on Sunday! We are all very proud of her, she even graduated with honors!

My mom, Taylor, and me with her graduation cake!

Saturday we had the open house. It was a brunch and we had delicious quiche, fruit, salad, and desserts! It was great to see all sorts of family and friends who I haven't seen in a while.

The backyard was just lovely - my dad did a great job preparing it for the celebration. We've always had this cute fountain in our yard and for the occasion we had some great little goldfish in it... Who are now living in a tank on my kitchen counter.

It was a very full weekend - but - incredibly fun at the same time!

I found some goldfish themed items on Etsy that remind me of my new little pets:

CuteAbility created these awesome little earrings.

This beautiful little goldfish apron is from aproncreations

I just love this block printed tote by ohlittlerabbit

Please stay tuned for my very first giveaway which will be taking place later this week!

Also there is a sale in my shop until Wednesday - Buy 1 Item Get 1 of = or Lesser Value Free! Please mention which item you would like for free in the notes to seller!

The College Grad

Last Saturday the boyfriend completed his undergrad degree at Michigan State University! I am so very excited for him and proud of his accomplishment! I am also happy that he'll be spending next year at MSU completing his Masters in Accounting - meaning that we'll both be done with State at the same time.

I think this picture is pretty cute - the diploma is fake and when you unroll it - it tells you just that :)

We celebrated the event by having both of our families go to dinner together at a Japanese Steak House. It's such a blast to have them cook all of your food in front of you! The 10 of us gathered around one grill/table and had a blast!

Shopping for a male college grad is - as I found out the hard way - difficult. What do you get a man who has a year left of school before he enters the professional world? Here I scoured Etsy for some really neat things for the male grad!

I just love this money clip from CosmicFirefly - Fashionable and functional!

This journal from inblue is perfect for recording all of those brilliant ideas, notes, and dreams.

These monogrammed cuff links are so cool and very professional - from Cuftlynx.

If your graduate asked for a new set of golf clubs you could help him accessories while protecting the gift at the same time. These are just great club covers from blazingneedles.

juliethefish will customize this great little business card holder with your grad's name!

There are just so many great finds on Etsy for your male grad! Customized items are most certainly a do.

I am so very excited - I finally had a moment to post a couple new things to my shop! If you get a moment go click around! I am oober excited about a new crop of headbands...

Have a great day!
