Mocha and Webster BBF

Little Mocha Bean has become quite the social butterfly.  She and her friend Webster are so stinking cute together!

When we moved to the city we were sure to have Mocha around other dogs as much as possible in order to socialize her.  Thank goodness we did - she is still just as loving, friendly, and playful as she was when we first brought her home.  Unless of course you're the Mastiff that lives in our building - then she is terrified - and I'm not going to lie when Bella rears up on her back legs to try and play with Mocha I'm a bit terrified too!

Best Bachelorette Party Ever!

Last Saturday my friend Christie threw me the most fabulous Bachelorette Party that a girl could ask for! The destination was Grand Rapids, Michigan. 18 fabulous friends joined me for a night on the town which I'll never forget!

The "rose colored glasses" I got to wear on the drive over! Many of the lovely ladies who attend the party fought to have the honor of wearing these fabulous specs... I think it's the pink glitter...

The fabulous hostess and her lovely cup cakes!

My full ensemble complete with Bachelorette crown, sash, and Bride to Be Button!

My Stunning Little Sister/Maid of Honor and my Future Sister-in-Laws/Bridesmaids!

The whole group of 18 of us who went for dinner, drinks, and dancing! The big flash cards were a gift and were an absolute hit. With phrases like "Buy me a drink?", "You're Cute.", and many more how could we not have a blast!?

Our first party crasher, for lack of a better term, arrived before we ever ordered our dinner! Sadly this kid was bailing on his buddy's Bachelor Party...

Love my little sister who was booted out before the party games started - you'll be 21 soon enough kid!

Mission 1 - Find a man wear socks!

Mission 2 - Kiss a bald man's head... *cringe*

After we got bored playing our party games 8 of us decided to pile into a cab and head down the street to a dueling piano bar. This picture does not seem impressive until...

... you see the tiny guy who carted 8 of us for about 3 blocks! Way to go man!

I'm pretty sure there is no way I could have smiled any more or larger during our night on the town. Thank you again a million times Christie for orchestrating such a large group of friends and family to come out and celebrate my Bachelorette-ness! The night was perfect and the stories will be told forever! Thanks to all the girls who attended, it would not have been the same without each of you there!

Old Friends and Eric Church

I hope you are lucky enough to have a friend that you have known since you were 12, or even before that. Kayleigh and I are the kind of friends that don't see each other too often, as of recently, but when we were tweens and early teens we spent every summer together at our neighboring lake houses.

Here we are attending an Eric Church Concert back in June...

Here we are attending a concert in 2006...

The concert was lovely. At one point we were this close - then we were asked to find our seats! Kayleigh and her fiance Brandon are huge Eric Church fans. In fact, one of his songs is their wedding song!
Hunky and I having a fabulous time! Looking rather exhausted from having moved me home earlier that very same day.

This was the view from our actual seats - still not too far away! We ended up leaving the concert after Eric performed, we were kind of bummed because he was the opening act for Toby Keith...

But after we sat on the tour bus and visited with Eric for a while it was totally worth missing out on the main act! He was such a lovely, down to earth person. We talked about weddings, babies, and Kayleigh and Brandon got advice on buying land in Tennessee.

Hell on the Heart is my most favorite song by Mr. Church and I was singing at the top of my lungs at the concert! :D

Matchy Matchy

Dear Best Friend,

I apologize for showing up dressed like your twin at your graduation open house...

... but you have to admit - as much as we say our tastes are 100% different...

We've got to have some kind of similar taste - Remember your birthday in the fall..?

When the same exact thing happened?

We rocked it then - but I just want to say - we already have your dress for the wedding picked out and if you show up wearing an alabaster gown - I might make you walk down the aisle too!

The winner of the snapcrafty 50 piece cab giveaway was entry #7 - Sarah from Yes, Teacher!
Can't wait to see what you create with your winnings!

Happy Monday All!

New Years Eve Recap!

Hunky and I spent New Years Eve at the Rock Bottom Brewery with a great group of friends. It was such a fun night with great food and drinks as well as noise makers and sparkly hats!

The whole group all dressed up.

My friend Wendy and I got ready a little early and then had Hunky & our friend Tory pose for a picture with us.

All the lovely ladies.

Hunky & I with our super fashionable wrist bands :)

I most definitely recommend an all inclusive New Years party. It was nice to just stay in one place and have everything provided for. Cabs at the end of the night were interesting and expensive - but other than that it was a fabulous worry free time.

I wore these fabulous earrings from White House Black Market - that are now on sale for $14.99!

Wedding Bells

As promised from a few weeks ago here are a couple of pictures from my friend's wedding. This is one of my first close friends from high school to get married. My dad keeps saying that this will be the first of many many to come --- Which is great, because I love weddings!!

It was a beautiful day to spend celebrating love! The ceremony was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the reception was a blast!

6 am Exercise Class & the Police.

To get to the part of this story that involves the title I guess I'll have to take you back to Friday - just because I think my exhaustion will be justified if I write a summary of everything that happened this weekend...

Friday I worked all day at my retail job - then as soon as my shift was over I drove home to attend a bridal shower. This was my first shower for a high school classmate! Very exciting and at the same time it makes me feel old... (okay - I'm only 21 but when someone you went to school with your whole life is getting married it makes you feel old.) The shower was a lot of fun and I am so excited for Katie and Brian to get married in August!

Then comes Saturday - this was a pretty awesome day - my grandfather who passed away several years ago had a county park named after him! It's a beautiful area and if you ever pass through Mid-Michigan you should make a pit stop at Motz Park. It was pretty cool to see all of the people who supported the project and made it a reality!

^ The brand new pavilion at Motz Park - showing all the people who cam out for the opening!

That evening I went to work at the retail job again - this time I helped out a woman who had a beard - this was very strange because as hard as I tried whenever I would look at her I would stare at her beard. After I stayed 2+ hours after closing to finish the sale with the bearded lady I went out with a couple of friends. My friend Christie has been through the ringer with her boyfriend lately and we went out to celebrate the fact that boys, although they can be wonderful (love you John!), sometimes suck... At the bar I made the mistake of waving back to a person who was waving at us --- He ended up being a prosthesis salesman who was looking to meet someone (eeek!). The other girls attracted very cute engineers, lawyers, and even a fellow who looked like Bob Marley. I accidentally waved down a man who pedals spare body parts for a living and was unable to take a hint ("I have a boyfriend - I just waved at you because you looked pretty stupid & now that you're over here I wish I had not moved my arms at all..."). After we somehow got rid of our friend the prostheses salesman John was kind enough to pick us up and let us listen to the Mixed CD that some guy gave my friend Maggie...

Sunday - Mom, Taylor, and I helped friend Jen pack for moving to Wisconsin for her dream job. She has cat - I am tragically allergic to cats. It was so much fun to help Jen clean out her closet - I am very excited to help her update her wardrobe into one of a professional woman! Left Jen's to go to work and have a series of allergy attacks - itching, sneezing, headache... in that order. Struggle to finish homework for ridiculous online class. Go to bed.

Monday - middle of the night - wake up at 3 am to what I think is someone hammering something.

5:30 am - eating breakfast and preparing for exercise class - go to rinse out cereal dish and 2 police cars pull up in the middle of the parking lot and 3 police officers jump out and run into the building across the street. Through the window I watch 1 go up the back stairs and 1 go up the front. There is a man in the landing area on the 3rd floor - he doesn't see front police officer - but sees the one in the back. Said strange man then throws himself down the front stairs and onto police officer that he didn't see. They then cart him off and I go to exercise class.

My assumption - this random guy was knocking on the door of one of the 3rd floor apartments in the middle of the night (this explains the hammering,) this just further deepens my desire to move far away from any form of mass college housing. 1 month until my move - and not a moment too soon!

This weekend was very fun and bizarre at the very same time...

I have picked out some cute police themed items to go along with this mornings events (I was going to make the theme beards or prosthetics - but this just seemed more appropriate...)

Love this little police mouse! His name is Bobby and he's from TheHouseOfMouse

beanforest created this cute Grammar Police button - I feel like I might as well have this one tattooed to my forehead... from beanforest

For those of you who are married to an Officer - this is such a sweet necklace from byHannahDesgin

This fun handcuff charm is from lemonroom

So friends - what did you do this weekend? Are you exhausted too?
